Scored for one hundred instrumentalists, an organ, two vocal soloists and a choir, Mahler's Second Symphony is one of the most monumental works in the entire repertoire.  If Beethoven established the genre of the choral symphony, Mahler took it to the next level, ultimately writing three such works.  The ISO performs this monumental symphony for the first time in 23 years.  It'll knock you out of your seat!
